HINTON DISC GOLF

Disc Golf Hole 13

The Hinton Disc Golf Association is a group of dedicated locals who want to bring the sport of Disc Golf to the Hinton community for all ages to enjoy. Disc Golf is played like traditional “ball” golf, but with flying discs instead of balls and clubs. One point (stroke) is counted each time the disc is thrown and when a penalty is incurred. The goal is to play each hole from tee off to basket in the fewest strokes possible. The player with the lowest total strokes for the entire course wins.

The game is simple to learn, only requires an inexpensive disc in order to begin enjoying the sport, and most courses are free to play. There are thousands of public disc golf courses across North America; over 22 communities in Alberta have courses.

Curious but don’t own discs? Rentals are available at the Hinton Visitor Information Centre
